PRODUCING A PERFECT JOB RESUME


  • Write your own job resume perfectly.

  • Have single resume, if possible, to support your job search efforts.

  • Start by developing a job resume in the standard reverse chronological format.

  • Keep your job resume simple and straightforward.

  • Your name, address, and telephone number(s).

  • Your e-mail address if you have one and can be reliable in contacting you job objective (optional).

  • A summary of your job experience knowledge, and skills.

  • Your formal job/work with starting date and ending date; company’s name and location.

  • Your formal education and professional training.

  • Provide only enough information that will interest the job interviewer to invite you for the job interview.

  • Limit your resume to two pages or less.

  • Don’t make your resume too dense.

  • Write your resume in terms of employing organizations’ needs.

  • Avoid the common mistakes of having your resume read like a job description.

  • Omit any negative aspects of your work history, education, skills, and personal life also eliminated items that are irrelevant and might even disqualify you.

  • Be honest in your job resume, present your self accurately, but focus on the positive.

  • Include important points in your job resume rather than writing them in your job cover letter.

  • Remember that anything you put on your job resume might be a topic or conversation in an interview.

  • Never date your job resume.



DON’T PUT THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR JOB RESUME


  • Your age

  • Your marital status

  • Your children’s age

  • Your problems finding a job

  • Hard-Luck stories.

  • How difficulty your life is

  • Nationality

  • Religion.

  • Your weaknesses.
