JOB OBJECTIVES:
Serves as WHO focal point for Maternal and Child Health/Family Health programme activities in the country to liaise with, and provide support to all relevant government departments and institutions. In collaboration all agencies actively involved, assists the Ministry of Health to plan an effective MCH/FP programme, advocating the integrated approach within the PHC development process in World Health Organization (WHO).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the WHO Representative, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Review and analyze national Maternal and newborn health policies, strategies and related legislation

  • Medical degree, postgraduate degree in public health, or Obstetrics, Gynecology and computer literate are very essential

POSITIONS: Production Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The candidate shall be responsible for managing production process and planning to ensure GMP, handle batch process and process equipment, follow safety rules and good house keeping in Chi pharmaceuticals Ltd

  • Must be able to produce tablets and capsules, have relevant exposure of working in small volume potentials

  • Effectively supervise pharmaceutical formulation production activities with strict compliance to GMP

  • Plan production schedules to meet sales/marketing requirement in Chi pharmaceuticals


THE PERSON
Must be pharmacist with not less than 2-3 years experience in managing pharmaceutical production, with a keen business sense, he/she must possess people management skills in addition to technical skills the position requires in Chi pharmaceuticals

VACANCY POSITION: DIRECTOR, HEALTH POLICY AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
The Director Health Policy and Systems Management will lead the directorate strengthen necessary systems (using the WHO health systems building blocks) to ensure sustainable and efficient delivery of effective health services at the different level of care in Family Health International (FHI).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical and managerial oversight in the planning, implementation and monitoring of FHI health policy and systems initiatives under the supervision of the country director

  • Coordinate FHI’s provision of technical assistance to the ministry of health, other government agencies and stakeholders at all levels to develop/review, implement and monitor policies and strategies, complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by HFI country director



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Health Economics, Public Policy, Health Policy or any other related field

  • At least 2 years in applied health Policy analysis and development at National and International levels as well as capacity building and policy advisory work

MANAGEMENT SCIENCES FOR HEALTH (MSH) has job opening for the position of CHIEF OF PARTYto be based in Abuja to assist in planning and managing capacity building of local partners to implement the PEPFAR AB prevention program in Nigeria. This activity will increase the delivery of prevention services using the minimum package to promote HIV/AIDS prevention programs and build the capacity of the MANAGEMENT SCIENCES FOR HEALTH (MSH) to deliver high quality services for identified high risk populations in several states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria.

JOB VACANCY DUTIES:
The Chief of Party will provide technical leadership and managerial oversight for the project, and ensure timely implementation and reporting of activities. The COP will liaise with collaborating organizations in order to ensure coordination of this project with activities being undertaken by the partner in Management Sciences for Health (MSH). The COP will supervise all activities under the contract and have overall responsibility for the successful performance of the technical assistance team. He/She will provide strategic leadership and bear primary administrative responsibility for all requirements to fulfill the performance objectives specified in this contract and acts as the official representatives of the contractor and maintain communication between all relevant stakeholders in Management Sciences for Health (MSH).

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide overall direction of all technical and administrative operations under the contract, function as the primary liaison between the USAID and other collaborating agencies on all financial matters related to the project in Management Sciences for Health (MSH)

  • Adapt, implement and oversee an annual project planning cycle and assures timely disbursement of work plans and budgets in accordance with the USAID annual planning cycle, assure integration of strategies with each other and with the overall operational strategy of the project

  • Assure the integration, consistency and high quality of the direct and subcontracted work under the project, manage and supervise the staff in the identification of all the technical assistance needs required to achieve the expected outputs of the contracts in Management Sciences for Health (MSH)


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in public health or other closely related field, Minimum of 2-3 years experience managing public health projects in developing countries

  • Experience providing capacity building services to NGOs, including experience with institutional strengthening of NGO administrative and financial systems , management and leadership initiative in Management Sciences for Health (MSH)

  • Fluency in English, demonstrated interpersonal skills, familiarity and with understanding of US Government administrative procedures in Management Sciences for Health (MSH)
