The West African Health Organization is inviting application from suitably qualified candidates for the position of:
PROFESSIONAL OFFICER (HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEM)
Grade: p4/1
Department/Office: Research and Health Management Information System
Official Station/Country: Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso

JOBS DUTIES:

• Provide support to ECOWAS member state to develop/strengthen their national health information systems


• Collaborate with WAHO focal point in ECOWAS member states to ensure the flow of data from the countries WAHO headquarters


• Create and maintain information systems in WAHO, participate congresses/conferences/workshops/seminaries of professional organizations


• Build and strengthen partnership with other key stakeholders, including health NGOs ,UN agencies, donors

JOBS QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES:
A medical degree from a reorganized University, post-graduate qualification in Biostatics and Epidemiology, 2- 4 years experience in managing health information systems, monitoring and evaluating health care programmes, Proficiency in the use of epidemiology software, work with an international or regional organizations will be an advantage.
