JOB POSITION: NATIONAL PROGRAMME OFFICER /EDUCATION (NOC)-fixed Term post.

TERMS of REFERENCE: Ensure effective consultation and collaboration with partners and stakeholders in design and implementation of UNESCO programmes, joint initiatives and in periodic assessments of the state of Nigeria’s education system., Identify the demand for education by analyzing the educational situation and determine where UNESCO could effectively intervene in Nigeria’s educational development, Also prepare UNESCO Country programme document (UCD) Educational Component). Assist in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the joint-programming of UN system in Nigeria in the Context of UNDAF participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of C/S work plan and related activities. Prepare briefs, reports, PPP and Speeches keep abreast with National development- programmes and trends with a view to identifying organising and analysing relevant information to underpin the planning, programming and implementation of regular programmes and Extra-budgetary education activities in Nigeria,
Assists in effectively liaising with ECOWAS, Economic and Monetary Union of West Africa and other Igos and Ngos in the implementation of the AU second decade of Education plan of Action,
Perform any other duty deemed necessary by Director of the office,

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Master degree in the field of Education Specialisation in any relevant field of Education at the doctorate level will be an advantage.
