POSITION :: Project Environment Health Safety and Quality Manager
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE CAREER VACANCIES IN OANDO
Project EHSQ-M is primarily responsible for ensuring the projects, design services and construction activities within the group conform to international EHSQ standards. EHSQ-M is responsible for developing and incorporating environment safety elements into OANDO Company’s projects and monitoring all works from conceptualizing to commissioning to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in OANDO.

CAREER VACANCIES RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a comprehensive safety strategy and plan based on OANDO group’s overall strategy within the subsidiaries and group office


• Identify, assess and manage environmental health requirements on all new works, participate as Technical Advisor, supervise the routine activities of engineers, contractors and employees in the design and procurement of capital projects


• Review designs, EIAs, perform quality, safety and risk assessments of all works within the group and advise management on key issues


• Carry out regular audits of all ongoing construction activities to ensure adherence to environmental health safety standards and the elimination of all unsafe conditions and practices by contractors


• Keep management informed of the status of key aspects of the works, investigate all incidents and render timely reports with recommendations for the prevention of future occurrence and prepare EHS updates

PERSON SPECIFICATION TO WORK WITH OANDO

• A good University degree in Engineering, Quality Management or Sciences with a minimum of 2.2


• Membership, Nigeria Environmental Society or Society of Engineers and relevant professional bodies


• Minimum of 2-3 years post graduate experience in infrastructure or oil and gas industry

CAREER VACANCIES REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• EHSQ policies, regulations and standards knowledge, Engineering designs, construction and interface knowledge


• Negotiation skills and firmness, relationship management with regulatory officials, facilitation/training, oil and gas industry experience
