UNICEF Nigeria seeks the services of experienced gender and development specialist that will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of rights based and gender and development projects within the Nigeria country UNICEF programme.

JOBS POSITION: Gender & Development Specialist, NOC
CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-Term
LOCATION FOR THE UNICEF: Abuja
JOBS RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute towards the preparation of the gender based situation Analysis by compiling data, analyzing and evaluating information, and writing chapters of analysis


• Design, implement, monitor and evaluate gender responsive programme or specific projects, prepare the gender related sect oral documents for the country programme


• Undertake field visits to monitor programmes as well conducts periodic reviews with government canter pert in UNICEF


• Assist government authorities in panning and organizing training programme, coordinate with operations/supply staff and non-supply assistance activities in UNICEF

JOBS QUALIFICATIONS:
-Advanced University degree in Social Sciences, Law or Development Studies, with Specialization on gender development issues.
-5 years experience working at the national level in programme management, monitoring and evaluation.
-Knowledge of the latest development and technology in related field of UNICEF.
-Managerial skills, computer literate and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
