ACCOUNTANT JOB VACANCY-FAMILY HEALTH INTERNATIONAL

Family Health International is in collaboration with national governments, local communities and leading research institutions. Family Health International delivers services and conducts research in HIV/AIDS, other infectious diseases and reproductive health to improve the lives and well-being of some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. In our country, Family Health International is engaged in providing public health services and undertaking researches in HIV/AIDS, TB and reproductive health, in partnership with the government of Nigeria to strengthen Family Health International’s operations in the country Family Health International, seeks to employ qualified candidate for the above job vacancy.

Under the direction of the senior Finance and Administrative Officer, the Accountant shall assume responsibility for accounting in the zonal office and ensure compliance with the contractual financial requirements of the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate keeping of account for the project, including checking, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records

  • Work with the senior Finance and Administrative Officer to lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports including status of subject account activities with accompanying bank documentation and receipts

  • Prepare financial report for country Office staff to monitor and track obligations and expenditures

  • Work with the senior Finance and Administrative Officer


Minimum Qualifications


  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or its equivalent

  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Accounting related to NGOs and community level programs, with increasing responsibility

  • Possession of CPA,ACA, ACCA or recognized equivalent is an added advantage

  • Familiarity with USAID-funded programs and Non-governmental organization
