JOB VACANCIES POSITION: Mechanical Technicians (REF: PEM/2009/001)
LOCATION: Bonny Island

JOBS PREVIEW:
The appointee will be required to execute on a daily basis, preventive as well as corrective maintenance on priority basis of LNG Nigeria/Nigeria LNG facilities to meet safety requirements, work programmes, production targets and quality standards. He/She will support operations in achieving production targets through scheduled and breakdown maintenance in Nigeria LNG.

JOBS DUTIES:

  • Execute routine and preventive maintenance activities, analyze, troubleshoot, act independently and effectively to achieve work plan objectives in Nigeria LNG

  • Ensure that the standard of the tidiness at work locations is maintained at all times

  • Remove and install plant equipment, operate machine tools and other equipment as required for repair, such as lathes, drills, grinding machines, valve test panels, laser alignment, bolt tensing equipment in Nigeria LNG etc

  • Undertake investigation of machine failure, collect data and prepare reports on incidents of failure


PERSON FOR THE JOBS: The right candidate should:
-Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical engineering, preferably with professional qualification (minimal NVQ-3 or its equivalent) obtained at a minimum of Upper credit.
-Have a minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in a similar position in a reputable company.
-Not more than 35 years old to work with LNG Nigeria.
