JOBS AT IITA - PROJECT FINANCE MANAGER

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TROPICAL AGRICULTURE (IITA),with headquarters at Ibadan, is an International Agriculture Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agriculture Research, Which is an association of about 50 countries, international and regional organizations, and private foundations. International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Sahara Africa. International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) seeks suitable candidates for the position of PROJECT FINANCE MANAGER

JOB DUTIES :The successful candidates will:

  • Set up accounts/files in order to meet reporting requirements of donors on restricted core projects in IITA

  • Produce periodic financial statements on restricted core project, monitor and follow up on receivables from donors, advise project coordinators and scientists on financial status in IITA

  • Ensure computation and booking of overhead chargeable o restricted core, provide and review annual budget, investigate and respond to queries from donors in IITA

  • Monitor and report payment/justification to NARS, coordinate closing of monthly accounts on Oracle, set up periods in the system and other GL super user functions in IITA

  • Backstopping of Institute Stations; Administrators/Finance Officer on both financial and donor related issues in IITA

  • Advise to top management on account requirements/budgeting on contractual agreements, responsible for adequate recovery of overhead on projects managed by the IITA on regular bases
